Conference programme

We are pleased to announce an exciting conference programme, which is now available as a downloadable pdf-file (also on the link to the right). Thanks to all contributors we can look forward to a number of interesting oral and poster presentations within in all the conference sub-themes.

A special welcome to our invited speakers that will open the keynote sessions each day:

  • Bjørn Kaare Hansen, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland, Denmark - Science- and knowledge-based water management in Denmark - linking science and practice (11/8, 09:15)
  • Alvina Reihan, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia - Streamflow modelling experience in Estonia (11/8, 09:45)
  • Sten Bergström, Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, Sweden - Stockholm and Lake Mälaren in a changing climate - an example of the future for Nordic hydrologists (12/8 09:00)
  • Oddbjørn Bruland, Norwegian University of Technology and Science, Norway - Revitalizing ancient mythology in an Open Source framework to enhance innovation, interdisciplinarity and academia-industry cooperation (13/8 09:00)

Each of the three conference days will start with a common keynote session in the morning, followed by parallel sub-session according to the conference sub-themes.

The General Assembly of the Nordic Association of Hydrology takes place at the end of the first day (Monday 11/8 16:00-17:30).

A guided hydrological walking tour through the city of Stockholm will take place in the afternoon on the second day (Tuesday 12/8 14:00-18:00) - followed by the conference dinner in the evening (20:00).

Post-conference tour

A one-day post-conference bus-excursion to interesting sites from hydrological point of view will be arranged on Thursday 14/8. The cost will be approximately 350 SEK per person. Please announce your interest per e-mail to
